We have been big fans of Darlin for years! Their cakes are a family favorite. We love spending time eating in as well. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff is so helpful.
The CUTEST cafe ever. An amazing amount of space for studying, having coffee with friends or just enjoying a cup by yourself. They sell cakes, pastries, coffee, tea and art work. I love the navy blue theme, the atmosphere, and the friendly staff.
Edited: A few hours after I left the review, we were contacted by the business owner, who offered a full refund and apologized for the packaging. We certainly appreciate being followed up on the matter and I am glad that she wants to make things right! Thank you. We ordered a custom cake for our son’s birthday party. My wife picked up the cake, and we appreciate the cake itself, but the packaging is really awful. How could you put the cake in a box that does not fit and expect to move the cake undamaged? Either you should make a smaller cake that fits in the box, or you need to provide a larger cake box. We were disappointed with the customer service.
Darlin' provided the desserts for me and my husbands wedding this past October, and they were everything we dreamed of! We wanted a dessert buffet and had an incredibly hard time narrowing down our choices after tasting many of Darlin's choices. We also ordered a small personal cake that was absolutely delicious! We got rave reviews on the dessert buffet and will continue to choose Darlin' for all our dessert needs in the future!
Absolutely amazing! Cannot say enough good things! The new bakery is amazing for families and alms always the food and beverages are wonderful! Darlin’ bakery is the best!! We’ve ordered our cakes and cookies here for years! We always love the flavor and of course the beautiful decorations!! Definitely recommend ordering specialty cakes and cookies if you want to have your vision come to life! A lot of time and care is put into all of her orders. Make sure you order ahead as this is not Walmart, everything is made from scratch and she takes time to make quality cakes and baked goods!

What an adorable bakery, shop, and kids play area. We enjoyed the pop tart with lemon and blueberry filling and the cookies. The kids had a good time in the toy area. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We’ll be back!
Very happy with my son’s bday cake order. We got the pb frosting and chocolate cake. Everyone loved it. Very tasty and was ready on time.
This morning I picked up 50 cookies for my daughter’s wedding rehearsal. On the way out the door I promptly dropped all 50. Sam the baker on staff at the time was very gracious and helpful. She is amazing and repaired every cookie as good as new. I am forever grateful. For anyone looking for a bakery with beyond excellence service, I highly recommend Darlin’ Bakery in Stewartville MN. It’s only a short drive from Rochester. BTW they taste amazing too. Bobby Learned
I loved our visit today to Darlin’ Bakery & Café in Stewartville, Minnesota. Their ham, Swiss and onion quiche was very flavorful and served perfectly heated. They have daily specials and I thought their prices were quite reasonable. When I’m in the area again I will definitely want to stop by for their quiche. ❤️
